Why can the Detroit Lions win?

The Detroit Lions are among the top teams in terms of yards per game, having registered 1,825 total yards in five games. They are also the highest scoring offense in the league with 174 points racked up so far, which is more than one score away from the second-place Indianapolis Colts.

The rushing attack of the Lions has been stellar in the past four games. Except for that, Patrick Mahomes seemed to have an excellent day, accounting for 378 total yards while throwing for 318 passing yards and two touchdowns.

The defense, on the other hand, was in shambles on Monday night. They allowed the Jaguars to score more than 30 points for the first time in a full calendar year. But despite that, the defense has shown grit in three of the rest four outings this season.
