Chelsea’s new signing Timo Werner has been enjoying the environment of London since his arrival. He looked fresh in the training sessions and looks forward to a great season ahead. He also stated how Lampard is working super hard to bring his team in line with clubs like Man City and Liverpool.

The German was signed from RB Leipzig for a whopping price of £47.5 million. He immediately proved his worth by scoring in the first friendly against Brighton which ended in a 1-1 draw. Werner has been close to Lampard since his arrival and has tried to understand his point of view and the way he approaches the game’s dynamics.

The work with the manager recently has been really good“, said Werner. After his bad performance last season, Lampard is looking to do the best for the club in every manner. Werner explained this by stating “He’s been showing and explaining to the whole team, not just me, what we can do on the pitch and how to improve on last season“. From the time Timo Werner has arrived, he looks to bring glory to his new club.

Werner brings up his feeling after coming to Chelsea

The Blues look forward to utilising the talent of Werner to their best advantage. Werner further added “I think Chelsea is a big club and with this team that we have, I think we can reach a new level. We have some very good players here and the manager is there to show us the way, and help us improve“. Werner earned this move to London due to his excellent performance at Leipzig. He scored 34 goals in his 45 appearances for the club last season. “We’ve worked a lot on tactical things, as well as our strength and fitness, to make sure we are ready for the start of the season“, added Werner.

Being settled in the environment for a time now, Werner told that: “That’s important, knowing your way around your new surroundings and we have also trained at the stadium so now I know my way to Stamford Bridge also“. Timo Werner is happy with the new place and excitingly quoted “My apartment is very nice, I feel happy there and also the city of London is brilliant. For me, London is one of the best cities in the world so I’m really happy“. “I know the way from my home to the training ground now, so that’s good!“, added Werner.

Werner will look to bring his magic in the Premier League once Chelsea begin their campaign against Brighton on September 14.
