Sam Allardyce, the go to manager to avoid relegation in the English Premier League, is going down with West Bromwich Albion after they were defeated by Arsenal on Sunday. West Bromwich Albion needed a win to keep their survival hopes alive though it seemed impossible to stay in the top-flight. The 3-1 defeat against Arsenal has put them back into SkyBet EFL Championship just after a season of their promotion.

Arsenal fielded a line-up filled with youngsters against relegation-battling Baggies on Sunday at Emirates. Arsenal roared from the word go, maintaining lot of possession in the midfield. Arsenal led the 19th position team at the half-time. Emile Smith Rowe and Nicolas Pepe were the goal-scorers for Arsenal. Though Matheus Pereira scored in the 67th minute to halve the deficit, Willian’s free kick in the 90th minute decimated West Bromwich Albion’s hope of survival.

Sam Allardyce, West Bromwich Albion manager refused to talk about his future with Baggies. Despite the loss, the manager asked the team to keep their heads high and to get ready for the next fixture against Liverpool. Sam Allardyce said:

That's too early to even consider or talk about that for me, it's about getting over the disappointment and when the time is right to talk about what is going to happen next season. In my mind, tonight is just about saying to the lads you gave it all, get back, have a day off and get ready for Liverpool at the weekend

Only Fulham have the chance to save themselves from relegation. A loss on Monday against Burnley will nothing but decide the third team going down to EFL Championship for the next season.
