West Ham star, Lucas Paqueta may be going through a lot at this point in time, but he never loses his sharp sense of humour. After their game against Bournemouth in the EFL Cup, Paqueta pulled off a crazy rainbow flick before accidentally colliding into the stadium security guard and what followed thereafter was sheer madness.

The Hammers managed to secure a 1-0 win against Bournemouth in the second round of the EFL Cup. A late strike from Jarrod Bowen sealed the deal for West Ham. After the game, as it was a celebratory mood in the dugout while coming out of the field, Lucas Paqueta dinked the ball over one official with a rainbow flick but that landed too close to a security guard and it hit him.

Paqueta, who knew what he had pulled off, instantly stood next to the guard and pointed to the fans, claiming that it was them who did the trick. With the guard’s back turned away from the fans, he had no means to know, what exactly unfurled. This crazy incident left the fans, Paqueta himself and the security guard with a smile on their faces.

The Brazilian star hasn’t been in the best of places recently as he was labelled with spot-fixing charges. Even though the investigation is still on, there is displeasure about him being on the field from the fans and the experts. The 27-year-old winger has been a part of the Hammers for two years now and has managed to find the back of the net nine times in the 62 games that he has played.

West Ham finally managed to sign Carlos Soler from PSG

Finally, after much negotiations, West Ham completed the signing of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, Carlos Soler on loan. The move needed some doing and it came at the expense of Nayef Aguerd who was off-loaded to Real Sociedad and James Ward-Prowse to Nottingham Forest.

Julen Lopetegui was interested in adding more firepower to his midfield but it was all stuck because of the financial challenges. The Spain international fell out of favour at PSG which eventually made him start looking out for alternatives. West Ham who had a busy summer window brought in the likes of Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo, earlier.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka also arrived at West Ham from Manchester United, bolstering their defences. The arrival of Soler seeking more game time is going to be of significance for the Hammers.
