The hatred between Damian Priest and Finn Balor keeps rising to higher levels every single week on Raw. The Puerto Rican has already been cost the World Heavyweight Championship twice by his former stablemate. This time, he decided to get revenge by costing the Irishman his World Tag Team Championship in the main event of Raw.

After the latest episode of Raw went off the air, Damian Priest had a small, seemingly friendly interaction with the War Raiders, who stood in the ring celebrating. The former World Champion started to walk away, all the while looking tremendously satisfied with his actions. He greeted some fans sitting in the front row and made his way up the ramp to Gorilla.

In the main event of Raw, the War Raiders faced Judgment Day for the World Tag Team Championship. The former NXT Tag Team Champions recently won a tournament to be crowned the #1 contenders. However, they failed to capitalize during the first meeting. Hence, they were surely looking to make the most of this opportunity.

During the match, Finn Balor tried to get his hands on a steel chair. However, Priest showed up and grabbed the chair from the other end. He pulled the inaugural Universal Champion into the barricade and allowed the challengers to take advantage.

The War Raiders hit the 43-year-old with a War Machine, winning the World Tag Team Championship via pinfall. With this change in champions, the WWE Universe hopes that the tag division can finally begin to flourish under a proper tag team. Furthermore, this also helps in taking the belt off Balor, who is reportedly scheduled for a big singles push in 2025.

Triple H congratulates the War Raiders after they win the World Tag Team Championship with the help of Damian Priest

The War Raiders’ achievement on the latest episode of Raw, thanks to Damian Priest, was widely celebrated by the WWE Universe. Even WWE CCO Triple H took a moment out of his time to congratulate them. After the show went off the air, he posted a photo with the new champions. Furthermore, he mentioned the incredibly harsh journey they had to take to get here.

Erik was involved in a bike accident a few years ago that he wasn’t expected to survive at all. Thankfully, he came out fine and started wrestling again. However, he was once again sidelined by injury in 2023. His tag team partner, Ivar, continued to wrestle on Raw and NXT as a singles superstar for a while.

Unfortunately, the 40-year-old was also put on the shelf with a neck and spinal injury that was rumored to end his career. Thankfully, the War Raiders have now been medically cleared to be able to do what they love the most. They can finally go back to wreaking havoc on the Raw tag team division in the future.
