After a five-month hiatus due to an injury, MJF finally made his return at AEW: Double or Nothing. He attacked Adam Cole and revealed that he would be staying with the Jacksonville-based company. The charismatic wrestler last fought on December 30 at AEW Worlds End, where he lost his world title to Samoa Joe

Adam Cole, who revealed himself as the Devil by turning on MJF five months ago, came out to address the audience. He mocked the crowd before pulling out the same devil mask he wore when he attacked his former best friend. Suddenly, The Two Year Vet’s theme music hit, and the whole arena went wild.

He attacked Cole, who was still recovering from an ankle injury, and threw the devil mask into the crowd. MJF then revealed his new tattoo on his calf that read, “Always bet on yourself.” This tattoo signified that the bidding war between the two companies for him was now over. The former AEW World Champion even took a dig at his fellow co-workers, saying he didn’t need Vince McMahon or NJPW to establish himself.

Another detail that fans noticed was the jacket the 28-year-old wrestler wore during his return. It strongly resembled the one Triple H donned when he returned from an injury back in 2002. Nonetheless, it’s safe to say that the tattoo signified his loyalty to WWE’s rival company and that The Salt of the Earth will be All Elite for years to come.
