Charles Leclerc, the Ferrari F1 driver, is considered one of the rising stars of the sport who, so far in his career, has impressed people all over the world with his skills behind the wheel of an F1 car.
While a lot is known about Charles Leclerc’s exploits as a racing driver, there is not enough information available about his family, especially how Leclerc’s father passed away.
The 24-year-old on June 20th, this year, came up with a heartfelt message for his late father who passed away five years ago, and posted a family picture on one of his social media handles and wrote, “Five years you are gone and I miss you every day. You were the best father I could have wished for, I love you.”
Charles Leclerc deeply loves his father and misses him every day, while Leclerc showed his affection through his post, fans all over the world, got curious as to how exactly his father’s demise came about.
The Monegasque’s father was Herve Leclerc who founded the French car part manufacturer, Mecaplast. Moreover, he used to participate in F3 during the 1980s and 1990s.

Charles Leclerc’s dad passed away after suffering from a long battle with cancer
Herve Leclerc, during his final few years, was fighting a battle against Cancer which led to his demise at the age of 54. Worsening cancer proved too much to handle for the aging body of Charles’s father and he ultimately succumbed to his long-standing illness.
Charles Leclerc’s father passed away in 2017 just four days before Leclerc took the victory in the feature race of the Baku round of the F2 Championship.
Since then, the Monegasque has achieved huge things in F1 and is regarded as one of the future stars of the sport. The ongoing campaign started on a promising note for him with a few early wins, but, as the season has progressed his challenge for the 2022 Drivers Championship has also slowly died down.
However, Charles Leclerc is only 24 years old and has a big and bright future ahead of him. Ferrari on multiple occasions has claimed that Leclerc is going to be their next world champion.
