In 2025, the Tennessee Titans will pick first after finishing the past season as the worst performers. They finished last in the AFC South with three wins and fourteen losses. Their wins came against the Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, and an upset win over Houston Texans.

The Titans would be picking first overall for the first time after relocating to Nashville. Although they finished last in 2016, they traded the first pick to the Los Angeles Rams who picked Jared Goff with it. The Philadelphia Eagles will pick the last after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl LIX.

The NFL Draft was first held in 1936 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and has taken place annually ever since. The Eagles drafted first selecting Jay Berwanger, the then reigning Heisman trophy winner. Berwanger, however, never played in the NFL due to a salary dispute.
