CM Punk is clearly someone who is never afraid to express his honest opinion about controversial issues, events, or even other people. Now, the Second City Saint has made it clear multiple times that he is no fan of Hulk Hogan. Seemingly, this hatred goes back years.
An old clip of CM Punk from 2015 has recently started to go viral on social media once again. The Straight Edge Superstar made an appearance on CNS Chicago alongside several Chicago BlackHawks fans chanting behind him. His team was set to face the Tampa Bay Lightning in the finals of the NHL Stanley Cup.
During this appearance, Punk berated the opposing team for associating themselves with Hulk Hogan. Furthermore, he berated the Hulkster for mispronouncing the names of the Tampa Bay Lightning’s coach and their captain. He asserted that his team would take home the cup, which did end up happening with a scoreline of 4-2.

Punk also took a shot at Hogan on the latest episode of Raw. The Chicago native was talking about how it didn’t matter who he went up against in the Royal Rumble. Even if the wrestling legend stood face-to-face with him, he would throw him over the top rope and kill Hulkamania once and for all. Allegedly, this line was said on the fly and it was not in the original script.
Drew McIntyre opens up about his 2024 feud against CM Punk
CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre is seen by many as the 2024 feud of the year. Not only did these two superstars put on incredible matches, but their storytelling throughout the entire year was phenomenal. In an interview with The Daily Mail, the Scottish wrestler revealed what he thought about their stellar feud.
Drew McIntyre said that he and Punk had the capability of creating magic together. He claimed that these two felt a lot of disdain for each other, which the audience could feel easily. Thus, they were able to put on one of the most memorable feuds of all time. Furthermore, he mentioned that the Hell in a Cell match to end the feud also came out exactly as they wanted it to.
McIntyre also commended Punk for sportingly taking all the verbal shots that he threw at him on social media. His photo alongside Jack Perry was probably the most infamous out of all his posts. The Chosen One revealed that he had instances in the past where superstars would get upset with the 39-year-old for taking shots at them on social media. Thankfully, it was not something that he had to deal with this time around.
