Rory McIlroy has had many things to celebrate as of late, the Players Championship adding to the list. The professional golfer had his wife Erica Stoll and daughter Poppy beside him to celebrate. In a congratulatory upload post-game, the PGA Tour handle posted a video of the couple sharing a sweet kiss that has since then sent sparks on the internet.

Rory McIlroy secured the 28th PGA Tour title of his career on Monday, 17th March. The Northern Irishman greeted his daughter Poppy as soon as he exited from the win. In the wholesome video circulating on the internet, he was seen praising the flower in his daughter’s hand, which was apparently meant for him.

However, what surprised the fans was McIlory’s meeting with his wife Erica Stoll. The adorable moment came after the two were reportedly headed for divorce the previous year. However, the golfer went back on the decision a month later.

2024 marked a difficult year for Rory McIlroy who found himself in the midst of relationship troubles with his wife Erica Stoll. He also made headlines last year for coming to the difficult decision on the eve of the PGA Championship.

Reportedly, their decision surfaced from the golfer’s busy schedule, making him an absent figure in Stoll’s life. However, the two seemed to be in a good place from then. Speaking to his followers in a statement, McIlroy remarked that the two came to the realization that their optimal outcome was together. From then on, the two resolved their differences for a new beginning.

Back in November last year, months after the retracted divorce, McIlroy won the DP World Tour’s Race to Dubai tournament for the third straight year. Stoll and Poppy were also present to celebrate his win after a struggling year. Post-match he reflected on the tumultuous times also mentioning the personal difficulties. In a heartfelt moment, he confessed that his family’s support meant the most to him.

After two years, the two split followed by the start of his romance with Stoll in 2015. Later in the year, the two announced engagement and proceeded to a wedding in 2017.
