Fans empathize with the White Sox admin as it seems their social media team gave up on notifying fans about their season losses.

While MLB teams are racing to secure a spot for the 2024 playoff games, the Chicago White Sox are just waiting for the painful regular season games to end. So far the team has incurred more losses than wins and is inching closer to recording the most losses in the modern-era baseball.
With their 4-3 loss against the Los Angeles Angels, the Chicago White Sox have given up 117 games in the 2024 season. They are currently tied with the Philadelphia Athletics of 1916 for the worst winning percentage in the modern era.
Tired of informing the fans on social media about their loss, the team’s admin took a creative approach to social media. In an X post, instead of posting their score record of a 4-3 loss against the Angels, they noted,
FINAL: the other team scored more runs than us.
Chicago White Sox on X.
FINAL: the other team scored more runs than us

They only have nine games left before the October games and they will need to win at least seven to keep them away from recording the worst record possible in MLB history. The team would definitely want to avoid the 120 losses record set by the 1962 NY Mets.
Social media reacts to White Sox’s X post
The Chicago White Sox are mostly close to Detroit Tigers record in the 162-game season, where they hold the all-time mark for the worst record since 2003. It’s been a season of struggles but they surely want to do their best to not attach anymore absurd and painful records to the organization name.
The White Sox are currently 45 games behind the Minnesota Twins for the AL Wild Card spot. The only thing the team and fans can do is wait for the season to end and restart again in 2025, hoping for better results.
Social media was on rage after the admin posted the sarcastic post about their loss against Angels. One X user noted, “Sell your team and fix this mess,” another said, “This could just been your copy and paste tweet all szn.” Check out more reactions below:

Seems like after all the wallowing in sadness, upset, and frustrated emotions, the players have come up with their own coping mechanisms. Earlier pitcher Davis Martin said he is just trying to laugh it off to keep the final few games going. “You have to have a sense of humor. You walk that fine line of being on the edge of losing your mind — always on that razor’s edge,” he added.”
