Grand Slams provide a platform for aspiring stars and the 2024 Wimbledon Championships is no different. While the main draw of the Grand Slam tournament is yet to be decided, the qualifying rounds are underway, and among the many participants is Hannah Klugman, a future star of women’s tennis.
Klugman is a 15-year-old British player who has made headlines with her herculean effort in the second round of women’s qualifying, beating 28th seed Linda Fruhvirtova. Klugman beat the Czech player 6-2, 0-6, 6-4 to reach the third round of the qualifying. She is now just one win away from entering the main draw of the Championships.

The Briton will next face Alycia Parks of the USA. Klugman has been phenomenal in the qualifying rounds so far, beating Petra Marcinko and Fruhvirtova in the first two matches. She will be hoping to pull off another clean victory and book her place in the main draw.

The teenager reached the US Open junior singles quarterfinals in September 2023 and the following month became the youngest player to qualify for a $100,000 (£80,000) event on the ITF World Tour, reaching the quarterfinals in Shrewsbury. The record was previously held by Gauff.
