Washington Commanders safety Jeremy Reaves will likely remember this particular match against the Atlanta Falcons. Not only because of the team’s memorable win but also for what followed after. Reaves added the cherry on top of the night by proposing to his longtime girlfriend Mikaela Worley.
Right after the win, Jeremy Reaves rushed over to the sidelines where Mikaela Worley stood. The Commanders star went down on one knee and popped out THE question for Worley. The latter took her time filled with sheer shock as she fell to her knees before saying “Yes”. His teammates ran to the couple to congratulate as the crowd went berserk. Reaves’ proposal was a long time coming for the couple considering their longstanding relationship.
Who is Mikaela Worley?
Mikaela Worley, a Florida native, surprisingly, has her roots in sports. Back at the University of Louisiana-Monroe, she spent three years playing volleyball with the Warhawks. With an excellent record, she graduated as a science major.
Worley spent the next three years at Brenau University’s Ivester College of Health Sciences. Currently, she is a physician assistant working in Virginia.
Where is Mikaela Worley from?
Mikaela Worley was born in Pensacola, Florida to parents Alan and Sherry Worley. She is the youngest of three siblings. Worley stayed in Florida for her school before moving away for college.
This year, Worley has been a regular cheerleader for Reaves both on home ground and on the road. She was also a constant presence beside the Commanders star last year when he underwent surgery to fix an ACL tear.
How did Mikaela Worley and Jeremy Reaves meet?
Most relationships between sports players have sprouted in their college days. However, such wasn’t the case for Mikaela and Jeremy. Worley attended the University of Louisiana Monroe, whereas Jeremy is an alumnus of the University of South Alabama.
The two go way back to when they were kids at Milton High School. In an interview post-Jeremy Reaves’ proposal, Reaves shared that he and Worley have been best friends since high school. Additionally, he expressed that Worley had supported him through the highs and the lows of his football career.

The entire Worley family is connected to sports in some way or the other. Mikaela Worley’s father played football at Livingston University while her mother scored in volleyball in her school days.
As for her siblings, her brother Austin chose to play football at Huntingdon University. Her sister Katie played softball at Georgia State. Suffice it to say, Mikaela knows all the ins and outs of a sports life brings.
