Anirban Lahiri of the Crushers GC has taken a commanding four-shot lead into the final round of the LIV Golf Andalucía event. The 37-year-old Indian star carded a 5-under 66 in Saturday’s second round, which included six birdies and no bogeys in his last 13 holes.
Lahiri’s impressive performance has him at 7-under par for the tournament, with Danny Lee of Iron Heads GC his closest pursuer at 3-under.
The Crushers shot a cumulative score of 11-under to move to the top of the team leaderboard at 7-under. They now hold a four-shot advantage over the home favorite Fireballs GC as they seek their third team trophy of the season.
The win would mean a lot. I've been chasing it for a while.Anirban Lahiri said
Lahiri is seeking his 19th professional win and first since 2015. He came close at his LIV Golf debut in Boston last year when he was part of a three-man playoff won by Dustin Johnson. He also had three podium finishes in 2023, including a runner-up to DeChambeau in Chicago.
