Drew McIntyre sealed his place in the final Money in the Bank qualifying match on Raw. With six talented superstars in the field this year, the 2024 ladder might be the most unpredictable one in recent times. Currently, Jey Uso seems to be the odds-on favorite to walk out with the briefcase. However, if anyone has made the case to walk out with a guaranteed future world title shot, it is Chad Gable.
In September 2023, the former Olympian finally gained prominence as a singles wrestler. During that month, Gable engaged in an enthralling Intercontinental Championship feud with Gunther. In their third bout, the 38-year-old fell short of ending The Ring General’s record-breaking reign. Moreover, he had to watch his daughter, who was in attendance, cry in the front row. Gable hasn’t yet avenged the loss, and winning the Money in the Bank briefcase would help him.
Gunther will most likely become the World Heavyweight Champion at SummerSlam. Meanwhile, Gable has yet to win a singles title on the WWE main roster. With that said, there wouldn’t be a better way to seek revenge and claim the world title by cashing in the contract on the Austrian wrestler. The former Alpha Academy member has had a rough few weeks since losing to Sami Zayn at Clash at the Castle.
Furthermore, he became the first victim of the Uncle Howdy-led faction, the Wyatt Sicks. Despite qualifying for the MITB Ladder match, the threat of the stable attacking him again looms large. However, Chad Gable can bring backup in the form of The Creed Brothers. After all, WWE has been teasing the formation of the new group for months.
Predicting the possibility of other participants in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Similar to Chad Gable, the likes of Drew McIntyre and LA Knight are involved in ongoing rivalries. The Scot will have to be wary of CM Punk, who’ll be looking for payback after being attacked in Chicago. Meanwhile, The Megastar has made an enemy in Logan Paul, whom he pinned to qualify for the ladder match.
Hence, there is a possibility of Punk and Paul interfering to cost their respective rivals. As for Carmelo Hayes, WWE might pull the trigger if they’re looking to establish him as a top star straightaway. On the other hand, Andrade would benefit from the briefcase, given that he’s been on a lackluster run since his return to WWE.
The favorite, Jey Uso, could walk out ‘YEET in the Bank’ and ascend further in the pecking order for the world title. Needless to say, it’ll be interesting to see who unhooks the briefcase at the upcoming Money in the Bank PLE.
