Why did the referee collected Haaland’s signature?

Erling Braut Haaland has been a sensational player for both his club and country in the ongoing campaign. Despite being in a hot form, the club is struggling for the Champions League spot for the upcoming season whereas their semifinal hopes are in hang after a narrow 2-1 defeat against Manchester City on Tuesday. The aura of the Norway international is such that the assistant referee ran behind the player soon after the final whistle to collect his autograph. The whole football fanbase was against Octavian Sovre for his deed. However, the reason behind it has come to the limelight and will win the hearts of every fan supporting the beautiful game.
Why did the referee collect autograph?

The Romanian referee raised the eyebrows when he ran down the tunnel to collect the signature of Erling Braut Haaland. A lot of questions were asked about Octavian Sovre’s professionalism. However, the referee did it for a great purpose. According to the emerging reports, Octavian Sovre is collecting the autograph of football stars to auction them. The charity raised through the auctioning will be donated to support the young adults who are suffering from severe autism.
The reason was revealed by none other than SOS Autism Bihor Association president Simona Zlibut. Talking to Gazeta Sporturilor, Zlibut said:
That autograph is for a noble cause. Maybe people don’t know, but Tavi (Sovre) is directly involved in supporting this Association. He has helped us a lot all these years!
The player was heading back to the change room after the game before Octavian Sovre stopped the layer for signature. Haaland happily signed the yellow and red card and even wrapped the referee in his arms. According to the rules, it is prohibited for the referees to meet the players individually. However, as the reason is out, Sovre wasn’t seeking any personal benefits from the striker. It is also learned that the Romanian international wanted to get it signed by Manchester City gaffer Pep Guardiola as well but could hold on only to BVB striker.
