Wearing the crown of No. 1 seed in the AFC, the Kansas City Chiefs are headed for the final game of the season and it seems their former player Tyreek Hill has a special “best wishes” for them.
On the occasion of the New Year, the Miami Dolphins star wide receiver posted a cryptic social media post concerning the Chiefs, writing, “Happy new year especially to the chiefs.” It seems to have ignited a lively debate among the fans. While they have been interpreting the greetings in many ways, it carries a deeper significance tied to the Dolphins’ playoff hopes.
With an 8-8 record, the Dolphins are aiming for a postseason berth, however, they are reliant on the Chiefs to secure a victory against the Denver Broncos in Week 18. If Kansas City succeeds as it has throughout the season, it can notably boost Miami’s chances of making the playoffs.

The eight-time Pro Bowler’s greeting can be interpreted as a strategic nod to his former team, highlighting the interconnected nature of the NFL outcomes at such a critical point in the season.
However, some fans have taken Hill’s message as potentially cryptic. There are whispers among the fans that the veteran wideout may be hinting at a future return to the Chiefs– who are headed for a historic three-peat this season. These speculations have led to mixed reactions on the internet where many have been questioning his loyalty towards his current team while others find it an unnecessary distraction.
Will the Chiefs rest their starters in Week 18 against the Broncos?
There’s a possibility that things may not go as Hill wishes them. Since the Chiefs have already acquired the postseason as well as the AFC West title for the ninth time in a row, head coach Andy Reid is likely to rest his starters like last season. This means the Broncos with a 9-7 record may actually clinch the playoff spot over the Dolphins.

I know that you’ve got to keep yourself [relevant] with practices and make sure that you stay sharp, and you don’t want to get too far away from it in the playoffs because everything gets a little bit faster in the playoffs every level that you go up.

The three-time Super Bowl-winning head coach hasn’t yet decided the starting lineup for next week. And it wouldn’t reveal it until he has spoken to his players. Whatever the lineup would be, they have the best wishes of the Dolphins star receiver, Hill.
