All’s not well in Heisman-land. Travis Hunter, Colorado Buffaloes running back and 2024 Heisman trophy winner, deactivated his Instagram amid intensifying drama revolving around his relationship.

Putting the pieces together, the media hasn’t been kind to Travis Hunter’s fiancee Leanna Lenne. The duo got engaged in February and plans to get hitched next year. However, if the media and public have any say, Hunter should not make Lenne his wife – citing ‘infidelity’ and ‘red flag’ behavior as reasons.

What led to Travis Hunter’s bold move? An alleged old video of Lenne is reported to be the primary reason behind the rapid deactivation of the star’s Instagram. In the video, a woman resembling Lenne, clad in a daring miniskirt and top, provocatively twerks alongside a man at a wild party, leaving the internet divided and her critics further emboldened.

The cracks in the duo’s relationship appeared long before the current crisis. As for the specific moment when Hunter and Lenne invited media scrutiny to third-wheel their relationship, it remains unclear. However, it could be assumed that the last Buffs game marked a significant turning point. Appearing at Hunter’s Heisman presentation, Lenne scored bucketful reasons for the media to rain down on her.

While on the sidelines on the last Buffs game, Lenne was seen avoiding a kiss from Hunter. Later, during the award ceremony, Leanna Lenne refused to stand up until Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders nudged her. She also was seen boiling over Hunter’s meet-and-greet where he posed with fans and signed autographs.

Amid growing backlash, Hunter addressed the criticism during a live Twitch stream, sharing how the intense scrutiny has deeply affected his fiancée, Lenne. He revealed that the overwhelming negativity has left her emotionally distressed, to the point of crying herself to sleep.

She’s still sleeping, she’s slumped. You know when you’re hurt but you just cry yourself to sleep, and you just be gone? She drunk [sic], like, an OD amount tonight for no reason.

Travis Hunter said

Hunter also took the opportunity to criticize the unwarranted allegations directed at Lenne, expressing his frustration over the unfair treatment she has faced. The heartfelt stream provided insight into the toll public criticism can take on personal lives and relationships, shedding light on the pressures faced by individuals in the public eye.
