WILD trade idea involving Shedeur Sanders and TJ Watt has fans shooting darts at veteran analyst: “I need the meth Colin Cowherd is smoking”
Pittsburgh Steelers are seen as a quarterback needy team after disappointing end to their season under Russell Wilson.

The talk centering the NFL offseason is surrounding quarterbacks. The most important position in the league will see the likes of Shedeur Sanders take center stage as the current season winds down. With teams with needs, where and how the Colorado Buffaloes star lands will define the draft.
The most talked about quarterback needy teams are the New York Giants and the Las Vegas Raiders. Sanders has been linked with both, and the Giants have taken a further step when GM Joe Schoen visited Buffaloes’ practice to scout him.
However, another team that has recently ended their season early are the Pittsburgh Steelers. Russell Wilson is a free agent, and many were not happy with the way their season ended. That led veteran analyst Colin Cowherd to have a say on The Herd.
Old Russell and young Justin, that’s not it. The Steelers have been putting band-aids on for six years; I think they have to rip it off. I would trade TJ Watt, George Pickens, two first rounders and go get Shedeur Sanders if you think he’s a starting QB.

Colin Cowherd added that the Pittsburgh Steelers have not drafted a top quarterback for a long time. He did not suggest that Shedeur Sanders was a ready day one starter. Rather preferred, the franchise select him, develop him in the background as a veteran continues to run the show.
That veteran could be Russell Wilson or Aaron Rodgers if he was available. However, Cowherd seemed to have forgotten that Deion Sanders might have a say if the Steelers drafted his son and did not start him next season.
Fans lose their minds on Colin Cowherd’s suggestion on Shedeur Sanders
This trade proposal dumbfounded fans. On one hand, everyone is aware that Shedeur Sanders is not held highly by many NFL executives.
On the other hand, to select him, the Pittsburgh Steelers would have to give up a lot. George Pickens is fine, given his recent behavior. But suggesting they give up TJ Watt and first round picks did not sit well with fans.

They took to social media to bash Cowherd for this opinion. They feel that hemorrhaging their future and losing the current face of the franchise for Sanders did not make sense. Check out examples of those comments below.

Colin Cowherd might have thought about the Pittsburgh Steelers all through when suggesting this trade. However, the franchise and its fans know that it will be too much of a reach letting go of all that talent. They could wait until next season to see how the quarterback situation develops.
