The migration of Australian Supercars drivers to NASCAR has increased following the phenomenal debut of three times champion Shane Vans Gisbergen. He won the Chicago Street race on his debut, with Trackhouse Racing. Since then, he has moved to US to pursue a career in stock car racing and is set to make full-time Cup debut in 2025.

He was followed by the 2022 Supercars champion Brodie Kostecki, who made his NASCAR debut with Richard Childress Racing, as part of a technical partnership they had. The same relation helped the current Supercars champion Will Brown, make his NASCAR Cup debut with RCR’s No:33 Chevy entry.

Now he is set to make his second NASCAR Cup start with RCR in 2025 and he has plans to start in two races. It is reported that he is planning to race at COTA, which comes after the Supercars season opener and then the Chicago race, a week before the next supercars race. He did admit that he has to confirm availability of cars, before making any final decision.

Hopefully two NASCAR races. That’s the plan. I’ll say one, but hopefully, two if the car’s available… Chicago is one I want to do but a lot of the guys over there want to do it, so it’s [a matter of] if a car is available, a team is available. I’m waiting to hear on that one.

That’d be awesome if I could try and do that, but I’d be happy to do Xfinity if I couldn’t get that. Obviously, Xfinity over there is pretty big.
