Former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor is a few weeks away, give or take, from his assault civil lawsuit. It appears the aftermath follows McGregor as much as his fame over the years. ‘Mystic Mac’ will also be back for a new $8 million lawsuit in Dublin against former partner Artem Lobov. Amid the infinite crisis, ex-UFC star Brendan Schaub only sees pitfalls for him.

Conor McGregor lives a lavish lifestyle — and he’s not afraid to flaunt it. Spanish villas and expensive 19.2-meter Tecnomar For Lamborghini 63 super-yachts don’t seem out of place. He has done a remarkable job of monetizing his personal brand. Per Brendan Schaub though, he is hemorrhaging more than just upward of €248,000 in damages (£206,000 /$260,000 all-in) to the opposition plaintiff.

For him to lose [Proper 12], you’re talking about millions of dollars per month, gone. There’s no payout, …when you’re accused of what [he] has been accused of, that goes completely against the contract and you get no backup money, they don’t pay you a severance fee…don’t know how much they pay him, maybe $5-10 million dollars a month!

Given his series of arrests, public scandals, nose-blows, and bar brawls, said brand is at a new low. One of the latest nails was a Dublin High Court finding him guilty of assault on Nikita Hand in 2018. The verdict prompted Proper 12 to cut ties with ‘Notorious’ at the end of last month; his biggest gigs.

In 2021, McGregor was on the financial Forbes magazine’s annual list, priced at $22 million from fight purses. While a whopping $158 million came from brand endorsements. Around $150 million in the long run was when he sold his stake for Proper 12! It was the biggest ever at the time.

McGregor’s exclusive debauchery has landed him in deep water. Proper 12 wasn’t the only collaborator to cut him off as a perpetuity brand media face. Brendan Schaub also theorized that UFC top brass guessed as much about the outcome, leading to his UFC 303 kickoff media cancellation. The ex-UFC heavyweight also bills that the particular “McGregor” extravaganza might be causing more harm than good now.

‘Mac’ minus ‘Mac’ money is Conor McGregor’s doom

More clearly — Conor McGregor and his spending habit due to his bloated worth is his biggest source of trouble now. While his pockets kept getting fatter, McGregor lost some of his cage aura. Notably, he hasn’t fought since his 2021 leg break TKO to Dustin Poirier.

An MMA promoter, part-time movie star, and former owner of a celebrity brand, McGregor’s riches were to blame. Per promotional CEO Dana White, he didn’t need a financial rehash on the last legs of his contract. Hence, it made his UFC return tough and tougher. But, Brendan Schaub postulates that with how he has spent his dough over the years, the upkeep will now bleed him out more.

When you’re banking on that [money] as Conor and you’re spending the money … when he was coming up, $10 million changes his life, …say he buys mansions, …he buys these cars. Now unless he paid all cash for those, those still have a payment every month. Chances are he didn’t pay all cash…based off what we see online, is a few million dollars a month. Most of that was taken care of from the money he was getting from Proper 12.

Brendan Schaub further says on his ‘Extra Thiccc’ Podcast (@extra_thiccc)

With multiple companies and retail chains pulling out, McGregor is at a halt. He also isn’t getting any fight payday any soon. Michael Chandler was one of his last hopes at it and even he moved on. While “Iron” is keeping the tabs open for his rivals’ return, McGregor has some losses to recoup from.
