The roast of Tom Brady ended up making fan’s weekends. It is not often that one gets to see a highly accomplished player such as Tom Brady give in and become the subject of ridicule by other celebrities. The night’s lineup comprised the likes of Kevin Hart, Rob Gronkowski, Bill Belichick, Julian Edelman, and others.

Will Ferrell showed up on Sunday as his iconic character Ron Burgundy to take his share of jibes at Tom Brady. In a surprising casting decision, only one of the Manning brothers was present to roast Brady, and to the disappointment of fans, it was not Eli.

Peyton Manning was present and spared no punches at the roast, but Eli Manning was the fan favorite whom viewers wanted to see because he remains the only QB in league history to have a unanimous winning record over Brady.

Will Ferrell, towards the end of his gig, bought up the fact that, to date, Tom Brady remains Eli Manning’s b****. In fact, he went on to urge the entire crowd present in the arena to start chanting “Eli Manning made Tom Brady his b****” while initially, a set of boos echoed throughout the arena, and soon enough many fans joined in.

Ferrell was disappointed with the initial efforts of the fans and urged them to do it better the second time around.

Tom Brady continues to be haunted by the two Super Bowl losses to Eli Manning

Eli Manning remains to be the kryptonite of Tom Brady in the Super Bowl. He has a 3-2 all-time record against the seven-time Super Bowl winner but in championship games, Manning reigns supreme as he remains undefeated. The New York Giants, led by Manning, pulled off two of the biggest upsets against the Patriots in NFL history.

The first defeat that Brady faced at the hands of Eli came in the 2007-08 season, a year in which the Patriots were favorites to win the Lombardi Trophy. After all, the team had gone 16-0 in the regular season and had beaten the best of the best. Eli Manning and the Giants, on the contrary, had gone 10-6 in the regular season but remained resilient and reached the Super Bowl.

They managed to upset the Patriots and win the Lombardi that year. Just four years later, it was deja vu all over for Brady and Co. as Eli Manning defeated him yet again in the Super Bowl to improve to 2-0 against him in the Super Bowl.

Despite Eli’s absence from the special evening, he took a jibe at Brady from the comfort of his own home! He posted a tweet in which he yet again roasted the QB while reminding him of his record against him in the Super Bowl.
