โ€œI don’t think about injuries when I come to a tournament, because otherwise I wouldn’t be playing.ย When I arrive at a tournament, I try to display my best tennis, not to be scared by the worries of the past, the injuries that I may have had,” Nadal said.

Nadal is one of the toughest opponents because he believes in displaying his best tennis. The champion claims the fear of injury cannot defeat the 20-time slam champion when he enters the court. This year, he is playing the tour on the hard courts after the clay slam. No wonder he was asked over his concern of injury.

“It’s true, the circumstances are different compared to previous years.ย You have to adapt to the situation, be ready to accept any inconvenience.ย I am ready to show my best tennis, I will not let myself be defeated by any injury or fear of injury,” Nadal said.

Nadal skipped the US Open to prepare for the clay swing. However, after the clay, he is at the hard-court Rolex Masters. Nadal shares the top quarter of the draw with countryman Pablo Carreno Busta and eighth seed David Goffin.
