Ricochet agreed to a five-year stint with the WWE in the last contract he signed with the company in 2019. Several companies will be on the lookout for the talented superstar as he enters free agency. If he is not re-signed by WWE, Will Ospreay may be interested in luring him to AEW.

The Aerial Assassin posted a photo on his X shortly after the WWE Speed Champion‘s contract expiry news broke out. The photo consisted of two people shaking hands. Although the photo doesn’t reveal who the superstars are, fans soon found out that the photo was from an in-ring match between Ricochet and Will Ospreay.

Several fans opined that WWE simply doesn’t see the formerly known Prince Puma as a main-event talent. He always seems to be stuck in the mid-card, is rarely on PLEs, and loses his matches even when he is. Therefore, moving to AEW could be a viable option for the 35-year-old.

Ospreay revealed that AJ Styles contacted him during his free agency days to lure him to the WWE. The poster child of AEW seems to want to do the same for his company. He would surely love to have his old friend alongside him, with fans salivating for another face-off between the duo.

This year has resulted in several WWE contracts coming to an end. Many superstars like Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, and Finn Balor have all re-signed with the company. On the other hand, things are more ambiguous for superstars like Becky Lynch. It would be interesting to see where Ricochet falls on this spectrum.

In a match against eight other competitors, Will Ospreay emerged victorious by pinning Orange Cassidy after an OsCutter. Following the match, the AEW World Champion came out to confront his challenger. The show went off the air, with the two opponents giving each other an intense staredown as the show went off the air.
