The Kansas City Chiefs kick off their quest to three-peat tonight in the season opener against the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium. The game is bound to be entertaining considering the Chiefs beat the Ravens in the 2023 AFC Championship game. Kansas City will need all the luck they can use to get a favorable outcome and who better than to have in their corner to boost their morale than Taylor Swift?

The girlfriend of Travis Kelce will undoubtedly be one of the main attractions of opening night. She regularly appeared at home games of the Kansas City Chiefs last season. The New York Times has confirmed that Taylor Swift will be in attendance for the season opener against the Baltimore Ravens tonight.

The 14-time Grammy Award winner’s presence at Arrowhead Stadium on opening night was in question all week long. Given her dynamic schedule, a layer of uncertainty prevailed. However, the security detail at the stadium appears to have prepared with the anticipation of receiving her. Taylor Swift is presently enjoying a short break from her Eras Tour.

Since being spotted for the first time at the Chiefs-Bears home game in September of 2023, Swift has gone on to attend 13 games of the team. She has gone out of her way to mark her presence and show her support for her boyfriend Travis Kelce repeatedly. She took a long and arduous flight across the world to make it in time for the Super Bowl in Vegas this year.

The NFL and the Chiefs have welcomed Taylor Swift’s frequent appearances at games. Recently, the league released a promotional video to hype up the start of the football season. The video is a compilation of the best moments of the 2023-24 football season and not surprisingly, Swift is highlighted five times in the video. She has opened up a new market for the league as her appearances encourage more and more girls to watch football.

Another reason that fuelled the speculation surrounding Swift’s presence on opening night was a document, alleged to be from one of Travis Kelce’s agents claimed the power couple is headed for a split. The document titled ‘Comprehensive Media Plan‘ claimed that their relationship was going to end on the 28th of September and featured a blueprint to mitigate the fallout from such a move so that Kelce’s image and name do not receive a negative rap.

However, it has been confirmed that the document is fake. Taylor Swift’s presence on opening night will further solidify the fact that the couple’s relationship is healthy and thriving. The Chiefs-Ravens matchup will begin at 8:20 PM ET.
