The 2026 Wimbledon Championships have once again drawn a star-studded crowd, with celebrities from the worlds of sports, music, film, television, and even the British royal family packing the stands during the opening rounds at the All England Lawn Tennis Club in London.
Among the biggest names spotted so far are Puerto Rican music star Bad Bunny, football legend David Beckham, former One Direction singer Niall Horan, actors Taron Egerton, Isla Fisher, Jason Isaacs, Alexander Ludwig, Noah Jupe, Jessica Gunning, and Richard Gadd, filmmaker Judd Apatow, actress Leslie Mann, and their daughter Maude Apatow.
Apart from them, television personality Maura Higgins, actress and podcaster Jameela Jamil, musician James Blake, Academy Award winner Mark Rylance, television presenter Richard Osman, and baking icon Mary Berry have made their presence known.
Beckham attended with his mother, Sandra Beckham, while his son Romeo Beckham was joined by girlfriend Kim Turnbull. Horan also made an appearance alongside his longtime partner, Amelia Woolley.
A few celebrities leaned into Wimbledon’s classic tennis aesthetic. Maura Higgins turned heads in an all-white outfit paired with heels decorated with miniature tennis balls, while Jessica Gunning also embraced the tournament’s sporty dress code.
The tournament also welcomed several familiar faces supporting Serena Williams during her much-anticipated return to Wimbledon. Her sister, Venus Williams, attended with husband Andrea Preti, while Serena’s husband, Alexis Ohanian, watched from the stands with their daughters, Olympia and Adira.
However, Williams’ comeback ended in the first round after a defeat to Maya Joint. Elsewhere, golf superstar Rory McIlroy was among the high-profile athletes enjoying the action from the stands during Wimbledon’s opening week.
As has become tradition, Wimbledon continued to attract celebrities from multiple industries as the prestigious grass-court tournament progressed through its opening rounds, with many appearing on Centre Court and other show courts across the All England Club.
Princess Kate returns to Wimbledon 2026 as royal patron
Princess Kate, the Princess of Wales, made her first appearance at the 2026 Championships on Thursday in her role as patron of the All England Club.
Before watching Britain’s Arthur Fery face Finland’s Otto Virtanen in a second-round match on Court 18, Kate greeted tennis fans waiting in Wimbledon’s famous Queue, where spectators line up for limited same-day tickets. She also met honorary stewards who help manage the Queue each year and spent time assisting at the tournament ticket office.

According to Kensington Palace, “On arrival, Her Royal Highness visited The Queue, spending time meeting attendees who have queued since early this morning, alongside AELTC’s honorary stewards, who volunteer each year to manage The Queue and welcome guests as they arrive at the Championships.”
Kate also met children from the Shine Camera Club, a local initiative supporting children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
She later watched Arthur Fery’s match alongside former British tennis player Tim Henman, who now serves as an All England Club board member.
The Princess of Wales returned to Wimbledon after presenting the singles trophies to Iga Swiatek and Jannik Sinner last year. In 2024, while recovering from cancer, she attended the men’s final but did not appear at the women’s championship match. Earlier in 2026, Kate announced that her cancer was in remission and has since resumed a fuller schedule of public engagements.
