Karolina Muchova is into her second Grand Slam final on tour after beating Coco Gauff in the semi-finals on Thursday (July 10). The 29-year-old will face fellow compatriot Linda Noskova for an all-Czech Wimbledon final on Saturday (July 11). The duo is yet to win a Grand Slam on tour, and this will be one of their biggest opportunity to claim the championship.
Noskova, just 21, has finally earned her huge breakthrough on tour by reaching the Wimbledon final. The ninth seed arrived at the All England Club losing just one match on grass and winning the Berlin Tennis Open. This is her first Grand Slam final and eighth tour-level final, and she’s also the youngest Czech woman since Petra Kvitova in 2011 to reach the Wimbledon Championship match.

Karolina Muchova vs. Linda Noskova: Match Preview
Karolina Muchova has had an incredible season so far. The Czech star won the Qatar Open in February and then reached the semi-finals of the Miami Open. She fell short against Elena Rybakina in Stuttgart after reaching the final. At Bad Homburg, she won the WTA 500 title after Naomi Osaka retired due to injury.
The 10th seed has not lost a match since falling to Madison Keys at the Berlin Tennis Open. She opened her campaign at Wimbledon with a straight-sets victory over Anastasia Zakharova 6-3, 6-2. Muchova then defeated Zhang Shuai, Mananchaya Sawangkaew and 2024 champion Barbora Krejcikova. After those victories, she overcame Osaka 7-6(6), 6-4 and Coco Gauff 6-2, 1-6, 7-6(10) to reach the final.

Linda Noskova, on the other hand, has been one of the young, talented, consistent performers this season. She reached the semi-finals of the Indian Wells Open and then got to the quarter-finals of the Stuttgart Open and Madrid Open before reaching the round of 16 at the Italian Open. The 21-year-old kicked off her grass-court season at the Berlin Tennis Open, where she stunned the tennis world by beating Jessica Pegula in the final to win the championship.
At Wimbledon, the Czech Republic star defeated Ella Seidel in straight sets and then beat Camila Osorio 6-3, 4-6, 6-2. She came from a set down to beat Sorana Cirstea and then produced a composed display under pressure to end Madison Keys’ run with a 6-4, 7-6(2) victory. She defeated Elise Mertens 6-3, 7-5 and ended Marta Kostyuk‘s run with a 6-4, 6-4 victory to reach the Wimbledon final.
Karolina Muchova vs. Linda Noskova: Match Prediction
Karolina Muchova has won two titles already this season and has defeated top players on the circuit. The 29-year-old has now won 10 consecutive matches on grass, beating her previous record of eight consecutive wins after winning the Qatar Open and then reaching the round of 16 of the Indian Wells Open.

Muchova is the oldest player to reach the final of the women’s singles Wimbledon final since 1998. She will face 21-year-old Linda Noskova, who doesn’t have much experience in big tournaments, but has enough talent to cause an upset. Noskova defeated former US Open finalist Jessica Pegula in the Berlin Tennis Open final last month.
Noskova is now aiming to follow the footsteps of Mirra Andreeva, who won this year’s French Open. Andreeva was just 19 when she accomplished the feat, which will be motivation for Noskova. However, it will be a tough match for the ninth seed, as Muchova is a more experienced player and the favorite to win the championship. However, Noskova will prefer being the underdog in the final. Muchova leads their head-to-head record 1-0.
Match Prediction: Karolina Muchova to win in three sets.
