Angel Reese has made her way back to the basketball world’s headlines. She recently made a stunning appearance at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles wearing a golden dress. As she won the Best Breakthrough Athlete award at the ESPYs. But the reason behind Reese being viral all over the web is her recreating her John Cena-themed, “you can’t see me” celebration.

Angel Reese did this infamous hand gesture during the national championship game against Iowa’s Caitlin Clark. She even clowned her opponents by pointing at her ring finger. But Angel really backed that talk and led LSU to win the national title. Many liked her bold hand gestures of her in the game. But the story isn’t the same anymore. As Angel Reese during her time at ESPYs did the “you can’t see me” hand gesture twice and the internet now feels it to be cringe.

After bagging the Best Breakthrough Athlete award, during her acceptance speech, she promised another title and ended it with a hand gesture. Reese quoted: “I just want to thank LSU, my family, my teammates, my coaches, Kim Mulkey, everybody that helped me. Last year, I transferred for University of Maryland and came to LSU. I just joined a family so I just want to say thank you. And another Natty is coming, period (does the hand gesture).”

This wasn’t the only time Angel Reese made the “you can’t see me” hand gesture that evening. As while presenting another award with Kyrie Irving she did the gesture again while encouraging the young women across the country. Reese quoted: “You are in charge of your own athletic journey. You can do anything. They cannot see you (does the hand gesture).” The internet though isn’t no more a fan of her using John Cena’s iconic gesture and now she gets clowned for doing so.

Twitteratis believe the moment which once made headlines is now cringe. Many believe her doing that gesture at the award show was just unnecessary.

This isn’t the first time Angel Reese is getting clowned on the internet. And, even this moment will fade away with time. And, now with Hailey Van Lith, Aneesah Morrow, and Flau’jae Johnson, Reese is looking forward to landing LSU another national title.
