The Guard for Iowa Hawkeyes broke the record for the all-time leading scorer in the NCAA league in her team’s 93-83 win over Ohio State, putting her at the very top of the list. Grabbing the attention of the basketball world, the duo of Stephen A. Smith and Shannon Sharpe have given their voice to the huge success – with Sharpe adding praises like, she is now ‘box office.’

Pete Maravich who had held the record since 1970 was finally broken by the superstar herself, Caitlin Clark, as her 3-pointer would seal the deal to give her that crown of the league. Clark had scored 35 points and has been nothing short of spectacular for not just women’s basketball, but an inspiration to many in the world of basketball.

And what a year it has been, from breaking record after record to making history, there is no doubt she will leave the NCAA as an icon and quite a talent for any WNBA team that acquires her. Her name is on the rise and is going to only get bigger as she further advances in her career.
