Caitlin Clark has done it again. The Iowa Hawkeyes star has added another accomplishment to her amazing college basketball career. On Sunday, Iowa defeated Nebraska Cornhuskers in overtime and won the Big Ten Tournament for a straight third time.
The game went back and forth for both teams. And Clark was struggling in the first half, as she only had four points till halftime. But something turned after the break, as Iowa outscored Nebraska 23-12 in the third quarter. With 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Clark tied the game at 77. But on the next possession, Nebraska failed to score, and the game went to overtime.

With less than a minute left in overtime, Clark shot a step-back three and gave Iowa a two-point lead. With 5.7 seconds left in overtime, the Hawkeyes were leading by five. It was Nebraska’s possession. Jaz Shelley failed to give an assist to her teammate and Iowa won the game 94-89.
After the win, the basketball world was buzzing with praise for Clark. After the game, Clark recreated Kobe Bryant‘s iconic trophy picture after winning the title for the third time in a row. Clark did exactly the same, in the shower with her winning cap and trophy.
The basketball world has been in awe of Clark for the past few months now. The Iowa star has broken many unreal records in the last few weeks. Including passing Pete Maravich as the all-time leading scorer in NCAA history in both men and women. After winning the Big Ten Tournament and re-creating Bryant’s picture, fans were overjoyed and praised Clark on social media.
Despite only scoring four points at the half, Clark finished with 34 points by the end of overtime. She also scored a double-double with 12 assists and seven rebounds in the win. Now after winning the Big Ten, fans will look forward to March Madness and Iowa’s journey to get to the NCAA finals.
