Caleb Plant does have a point. Since the incident happened, clips of the hit and a few others of her teammate Angel Reese applauding, have become some of the most watched and shared clips on the internet. Many sporting stars have called out the treatment the existing players are dishing out against her.

The fact that the foul was deemed a common one and not upgraded to a flagrant has angered fans. Plant feels that this anger will grow if this continues, which eventually could be detrimental to all the good that is happening in women’s basketball.

Caitlin Clark needs her teammates to help her out

Caitlin Clark is known to be chippy when it comes to trash-talking. It was evident during the college days. But has become more prominent in her first 10 games in the WNBA. In this scenario, what set off Chennedy Carter was a similar trash talk. But Carter took it too far in her retaliation. But it brings to a point that many have been advocating.

Her Indiana Fever teammates need to step in. Over these 10 games, they have witnessed opponents being rough on Clark, but the max they have done is step in and stop their leading superstar from getting technical fouls called on her. Several former athletes have advocated that her teammates should retaliate or at least set the tone that she has people looking after her.

They have the 2nd of their back-to-back games against the New York Liberty next. But after that they have a gap of a few days where they can prepare for anything that happens next. It will be interesting to see how the WNBA players react going forward.
