DiJonai Carrington has been making waves as one of the selected few athletes in the Unrivaled League. A recent game brought much attention, but not exactly for her game on the court. The WNBA star sparked the viewers’ attention with her controversial outfit featuring Donald Trump.

DiJonai Carrington had all the cameras on her before her Friday night Unrivaled game in Miami, Florida. The athlete walked into the Wayfair Arena wearing a sweatshirt with one of rapper YG‘s old tour name on the front. Selectively, Carrington chose his 2016 tour named “The F*** Donald Trump Tour.”

The athlete was clear in her message with the phrase written in bold red color with the rapper flipping in the background. Carrington also stopped to pose for the cameras, further sparking controversial viewpoints. However, this isn’t the first time DiJonai Carrington has made herself clear on her political stances.

Her X account at the time of the elections was a row of pro-Kamala Harris posts. The outfit has the internet buzzing about the Unrivaled athlete’s brazenness. Carrington doubled her message down by posting pictures on her page, highlighting the message in the caption.

This isn’t surprising for her fans as she is known to take unfiltered shots while expressing her opinion to the public. Famously, the player is known for provoking a feud with fellow WNBA player Caitlin Clark. She also got in hot waters with the Indiana Fever fans for her comments on Clark. Apart from that, she is gaining attention for her inclusion in the new 3-on-3 Unrivaled league where she plays for the Mist BC.

DiJonai Carrington’s bold move seemingly against president-elect Donald Trump quickly came in drawing consequences. While some lauded the WNBA star for her audacity, the others were not so thrilled. One among the latter was swimmer Riley Gaines.

Former athlete and Pro-Trump follower Riley Gaines is markedly known for her voice in the sports world and otherwise. Carrington’s controversial sweatshirt reached the influencer, who took to her X handle to take a jab at the WNBA star. In her former posts, she quipped that Carrington was the same person who “deliberately gouged” Caitlin Clark.

Evidently, this wasn’t the first time Riley Gaines and DiJonai Carrington hadn’t seen eye to eye.
