World of Warcraft: Dragonflight – Everything you need to know about patch 10.1

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the release of World of Warcraft’s Dragonflight Patch 10.1: Embers of Neltharion will be on May 2, much earlier than anticipated. The update will provide players with full access to the game’s newest zone, the Zaralek Caverns, and all of the open-world content that comes with it. This includes the continuation of the Dragonflight campaign and the introduction of a new Renown track for the game’s latest faction, the Loamm Niffen.
Additionally, the game’s second season will launch on May 9, just one week after the release of Patch 10.1. Fans speculated that the patch would launch in early June based on Blizzard’s Dragonflight roadmap released last December. However, the earlier release date of May 2 has caught many by surprise.

Blizzard is not slowing down on feeding World of Warcraft players with content during the first few months of Dragonflight. Fans have eagerly anticipated Patch 10.1, Embers of Neltharion, which is just around the corner, and now they finally have a launch date for the game’s first major content update.
In Patch 10.1, players will explore Zaralek Cavern, which is located right beneath the Obsidian Citadel. They will get to know the Niffen and the Drogbar, who are the local residents. In addition, players will have to breach Neltharion’s secret laboratory, Abberus, in Zaralek Cavern. WoW devs are also introducing a new Dragonriding mount and new tier sets.
Blizzard recently announced that Embers of Neltharion, the first major patch of Dragonflight, will release on May 2. The expansion’s second season will begin one week later on May 9.
Here’s everything new in the patch:
- Patch 10.1 introduces exciting changes and features to Azeroth, including fixing the issue in the Evoker class where instant-cast Living Flames consumed Ancient Flame.
- The Paladin class receives fixes for Retribution Aura’s triggering from incorrect amounts of incoming damage and the timing of Eye of Tyr’s floating combat text.
- Judgments of the Pure talent for Paladins now updates to cleanse one Poison, Disease, and Magic effect caused by an enemy on the Paladin casting Judgment.
- Dragonflight season two starts with the Aberrus raid featuring nine bosses on Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties.
- The Mythic+ dungeon pool receives an update with four remaining Dragonflight dungeons and four throwback dungeons.
- Players can enjoy updated Dragonriding mechanics and the introduction of cross-faction guilds in Patch 10.1.
- Patch 10.1. offers endless hours of adventure and excitement for players in Azeroth.
With World of Warcraft Dragonflight Embers of Neltharion soon to release on May 2nd players can look forward to such frequent updates for smoother gameplay. Players should get ready breach the laboratory of Neltharion. Dragonflight season 2 will introduce new PvP Ladder and gear, seasonal affixes, and new dungeons. Players will get to adventure in a new zone which is basically an underground cavern called the Zaralek Caverns. Besides this The Darkmoon Faire is returning to the game. Overall, Season 2 promises to be very exciting and with all the frequent changes Blizzard looks set for a grand launch.
