With the night-wise WrestleMania 42 lineups already revealed by WWE earlier in the week, there was a ton of fuss regarding what set of matches would open their respective nights.

It has been reported on WrestleVotes Radio via Fightful Select that The Vision (Logan Paul & Austin Theory) and IShowSpeed vs. The Usos & LA Knight is currently planned to kick things off on Saturday, while Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi is slated to begin the proceedings on Sunday.

Both the first-hour slots on Saturday and Sunday will air on ESPN2 and ESPN, respectively. It’s a strategic move curated to convert the lapsed fans into paid subscribers for ESPN as part of it becoming the exclusive U.S. domestic home for all WWE PLEs.

Speaking of Lesnar vs. Femi slated to open the second night of WrestleMania, it has consequently shattered the hopes of those fans that were pushing for this clash of titans to close out the pop-culture extravaganza in Las Vegas.

The majority of fans have repeatedly argued that Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi has had a better build over the world title feud pitting Roman Reigns in the hunt for gold against CM Punk.

With each passing week, the on-screen interactions between ‘The Beast’ and ‘The Ruler’ started to have the arena shaking in whatever city they were in. Take, for instance, Lesnar and Femi were scheduled for a contract signing on this week’s Raw for their WrestleMania clash. Both the Raw GM Adam Pearce and the WWE CCO Triple H were in the ring to oversee it. However, no one was expecting it to ensue cordially.

Lesnar attacked Femi while the latter was stepping through the ropes, and it sparked an all-out brawl between these behemoths. Pearce called upon his security guards to diffuse the situation. Triple H had to step in to preserve his WrestleMania investment at Raw in MSG when he didn’t let Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar lay a finger on each other.

‘The Ruler’ had previously humiliated the ‘Beast Incarnate’ in consecutive weeks prior to that. They have one more show left before WrestleMania to get in the necessary shenanigans just enough to get the fans even more hyped for this clash.

On the other hand, IShowSpeed‘s involvement in the Vision’s business has imbued fresh life into what was looking like an uninspiring way of putting The Usos and LA Knight on the WrestleMania card. The streamer’s life has been a trainwreck since he got cursed by Danhausen a couple of weeks ago.

The turn of events since that moment has made Speed side with the Vision, as the 21-year-old internet sensation had inadvertently cost Jey and Jimmy Uso their tag team titles at MSG.

It was preceded by Speed accidentally connecting Knight with the brass knuckles. The social media icon then cost ‘The Megastar’ his match against Theory on Raw this past Monday. But once again, it wasn’t intentional from Speed, as Logan Paul had initiated the chicanery.

What is the update on this year’s WrestleMania stage?

One of the most awaited aspects of WrestleMania each year, apart from the actual show, is its entrance stages. It’s just over a week to go until showtime, but the construction for this year’s WrestleMania set hasn’t even begun, and that’s not a usual occurrence. However, there’s a reason for that.

The Allegiant Stadium, which is the WrestleMania venue for the second straight year, was booked this Friday and Saturday for Bruno Mars. BodySlam is reporting that the production for the WrestleMania stage will start April 13, and it would be revealed later in the week across WWE’s digital platforms.

That leaves only a 3-4 day window for the crew members to assemble the set. It has left several fans wondering if that much time would be enough to come up with a stunning entrance stage.

But it’s very much possible that the production crew might’ve already kept the major parts of the stage ready in advance, and they’ll just need to be put in place. The WrestleMania stage reveals are always highly anticipated, but given the time constraints this year, it’s going to be a serious test for those putting it on the ground.
