This week’s Raw featured an anticipated showdown between Jey Uso and Austin Theory. After weeks of rising tensions between ‘Main Event’ Jey and A-Town Down Under, the two finally collided in a match that turned out to be unexpectedly brief and humorous. In under two minutes, Uso decisively squashed the former United States Champion. However, the victory was not without its blemishes.
During the match, the 39-year-old attempted to hit Theory with a spear. However, in the heat of the moment, the move ended up resembling more of a crossbody than a spear. This left Michael Cole on commentary momentarily confused about what to call it, creating a hilarious moment. Later, after the match, Uso went for a dive on A-Town Down Under, but it turned into another awkward mishap for Jey.
He got tangled in the ropes and crashed onto his back on the apron, adding yet another comedic moment to the night in Brussels. Fans couldn’t help but react to the unexpected blunders—only for World Champion Gunther to emerge from the shadows and ambush The Yeet Man. However, Uso had the momentum on his side, fending off The Ring General and getting the last laugh.

With that, the Austrian powerhouse failed in living up to his words of making Uso’s life miserable until WrestleMania. Furthermore, WWE has announced a tag team match next week on Raw between A-Town Down Under and The Yeet Master with a mystery partner. It is going to be interesting to see how this story unfolds heading to The Grandest Stage of Them All this year.
WWE Universe reacts to Jey Uso’s multiple botches on Monday Night Raw
The WWE Universe has been in splits over Jey Uso’s multiple botches on Raw. While some fans found the mishaps outright atrocious, others criticized Uso for his lackluster in-ring execution. Additionally, some expressed sympathy for those who purchased front-row tickets, only to witness ‘Main Event’ Jey stringing together one botch after another.

Moreover, fans voiced their concerns over the fact that this match is part of the buildup to a World Title bout heading into WrestleMania, with such mishaps making it look more awkward than ever. With opinions ranging across the spectrum, here are some of the top fan reactions on X:

Good lord. Somebody's really paying $1k a ticket to see this?

This match did not work to make Jey look like a confident underdog.

I think that’s supposed to be Jey’s form of a spear 😅

They gotta stop all the triple ropes into the spear.

He pinned him with the power of popularity

Hilariously, fans trolled the former Tag Team Champion, joking that he pinned Austin Theory purely through the power of popularity—since that “spear” did everything except connect properly. Some even speculated that this could be Uso’s unique variation of the move heading into WrestleMania. However, beyond the laughter, many fans expressed disappointment with how WWE is booking the World Title picture on Raw.
Who could be Jey Uso’s mystery tag team partner next week on Raw?
Jey Uso needs to find an ally to back him up against A-Town Down Under next week on Raw. While he may be one of the most popular stars in the division right now, he certainly lacks close friends on the roster. With less than a week to find someone he can trust, Uso must secure a partner to take on frustrated Austin Theory and Grayson Waller.

With limited options on the Raw roster, Uso might have to look beyond WWE for backup. One intriguing possibility is Joe Hendry from TNA. Interestingly, next week’s Raw is set to take place in Glasgow, Scotland—Hendry’s hometown—making his potential appearance a historic moment.

If Uso does enlist Hendry’s help, it could add an exciting crossover element to the show. Other than Hendry, Jimmy Uso could also make a special Raw appearance next week to help out his brother. That said, it is going to be interesting to see what WWE has in store for another banger episode of Raw amid the European Tour.
