CM Punk is widely regarded as a polarizing figure behind the scenes. While some wrestlers hold deep resentment toward him, others share an immense admiration for the 46-year-old. Notably, the Second City Saint has a strong friendship with fellow industry veteran Natalya. Recently, the two shared a heartwarming photo together, showcasing their close bond.

Punk was recently in Stamford, Connecticut, for the Raw on Netflix kickoff event. Prior to the event, the Best in the World visited Boston, just a three-hour drive away, and met up with his good friend Natalya. The two superstars posted a photo that featured the former Women’s Champion choking the Straight Edge Superstar.

Words cannot fully describe how both these superstars have contributed to professional wrestling. However, their runs in 2024 have been vastly different from each other. Punk is in the running for Superstar of the Year, had an incredible trilogy against Drew McIntyre, and is now set to main event the first episode of Raw on Netflix against Seth Rollins.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Natalya. She was one of the biggest faces of the Diva’s era and helped a lot in getting the women’s revolution off the ground. However, she has not had many opportunities to shine on TV throughout the past year, and it appears that WWE does not see her as a main event talent anymore.

Wrestling fans were rolling on the floor laughing after seeing this photo of CM Punk with Natalya. Netizens joked that the two veterans were recreating the Best in the World’s fight with Jack Perry. The Chicago native got into a brawl with the former TNT Champion backstage at All In 2023, where the 46-year-old allegedly choked him out.

A fan joked that this was Natalya‘s own version of the Go To Sleep. Another netizen joked that they should have an intergender submission match, pitting the Sharpshooter against the Anaconda Vice.
