The months-long feud between Damage CTRL and Pure Fusion Collective seemingly came to a conclusion on this week’s Raw. IYO SKY and Dakota Kai teamed up to defeat the duo of Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler. It was a fun match that featured several spots. However, the most notable out of all of them was Stark’s missile dropkick on Kai.

During a back-and-forth exchange sequence between Kai and Baszler, Stark blind tagged her partner. As the action continued, Stark swiftly entered the fray with a vicious and well-timed missile dropkick. The kick landed right on Kai’s face as she took a gnarly-looking bump. In the background, SKY looked on with concern for her teammate as well, echoing most fans’ reaction to the high-risk move.

Despite taking a risky bump, Kai was able to finish the match without any injury scares. The finishing sequence saw Damage CTRL overcoming the numbers game, as SKY hit the Moonsault on Baszler to pick up the win.

The rivalry between the two factions has been going on since the summer of 2024. Moreover, PFC has injured Damage CTRL members on multiple occasions. Dakota Kai suffered a knee injury following an attack by the group, which took her out of action for several months.

During the Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament, PFC brutalized Kairi Sane backstage, not only taking her out of the tournament but also sidelining her indefinitely. Hence, Damage CTRL finally took revenge on behalf of Sane by defeating their rivals on last night’s Raw.

As expected, fans expressed their concern following the aforementioned move. Many were aware of Dakota Kai’s well-documented injury history and hoped that she was fine. Meanwhile, others heaped praise on Zoey Stark following the well-executed missile dropkick on the 36-year-old.

Continuing with the praise, fans called for Stark to pursue a singles run. Furthermore, a few users labeled Stark among the best in-ring female wrestlers on the roster. One fan compared her dropkick to Brie Bella‘s, who had a similar move in her in-ring repertoire.

Nonetheless, the WWE Universe is expecting these two factions to move on following their match. While IYO SKY is a favorite to win the Women’s Royal Rumble, Kai will look to extend her momentum from the Intercontinental Title tournament. On the other hand, Pure Fusion Collective might shift their focus elsewhere, perhaps eyeing a move to SmackDown.
