The recent Janel Grant lawsuit has shed light on numerous backstage incidents involving WWE officials. While Vince McMahon remains the central figure in these allegations, other names, including Brock Lesnar and John Laurinaitis, have also surfaced. Recently, yet another name came to light—that of Hall of Famer Michael Hayes.
The recently-amended complaint listed an incident that took place in September 2020. During this time, McMahon had allegedly asked Janel Grant to create customized p*rnographic content for Michael Hayes. At the time, he was working as a producer for WWE at the time.
The 65-year-old used to be a professional wrestler for several promotions, including WWF. He was also the leader of the Fabulous Freebirds. Hayes, alongside the group’s two other members, was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2016. He was last seen with the company when he was spotted backstage during an episode of SmackDown on November 22, 2024.

This recently amended complaint also officially listed the name Brock Lesnar. During previous renditions, the Beast Incarnate’s name was never used. Previously, Lesnar was only referred to as a popular star of UFC and WWE. However, the lawsuit now explicitly mentions his name, confirming his direct involvement. This major development comes nearly a year after the lawsuit was filed.
WWE Universe reacts to Michael Hayes being named in the Janel Grant lawsuit alongside Vince McMahon
The wrestling world was taken aback after seeing Michael Hayes also included in the list of WWE’s various s*x offenders. Netizens wondered why such people couldn’t just be normal, and have to involve themselves in these creepy and perverted acts of s*xual abuse.
Now, some people did come to the defense of Hayes. They said that the report only stated that Vince McMahon asked Grant to create this content for her. Nowhere was it stated that the Hall of Famer accepted it or asked for it himself. Netizens will just have to wait until the lawsuit progresses further to find out the truth, provided that it ever comes out. Here are some of the reactions:

Do we know if Hayes asked for that? Was he aware Vince was doing this? Was the content created and sent to Hayes? Lots of relevant questions have to be asked and answered before calling for someone’s head.

Because he received it? What about the guy who instructed it to be generated?

Also, one side’s petition to start a case are simply allegations.
The juicy details come in should a case actually go to trial in front a Judge or jury.
Noble and heyman can handle the bloodline duties. No need for Hayes. Just disgusting

Yeah 100% absolutely disgusting

Some fans demanded that TKO and Endeavor as a whole take this into account and blacklist such people. The company has distanced itself from several people mentioned in the lawsuit. This includes Brock Lesnar, who has not been seen with the company in nearly 18 months now. Furthermore, Vince McMahon has also completely cut ties with the organization ever since, selling his shares of TKO stock.
