Professional wrestling shows often do not contain a huge gap between matches. It can be tough for the live audience to sit through the entire show continuously for multiple hours. Thus, fans often decide to take bathroom breaks during a particular match that they are not too interested in. It appears that Chris Jericho has fallen to this unfortunate spot on the card.
The second All In show featured Chris Jericho defending his FTW Championship against Hook. As the match was going on, many crowd members got up from their seats to use the bathroom, get more snacks, or simply take a break and stretch their legs. Many fans at the show posted photos of huge lines being formed outside the bathrooms at Wembley Stadium, indicating significantly low interest for this match.
Hook looked to reclaim his FTW Championship from Jericho. The wrestling veteran was now on day 127 of his title reign after beating the 25-year-old for the belt. The match took place with FTW rules, meaning everything was legal. Despite interference by Big Bill and Bryan Keith, the New Yorker was able to win back his title at All In.
Jericho’s stock in the wrestling world has dropped severely over the past few years. He was considered one of the most creative wrestlers in the world. His ability to constantly re-invent himself was unmatched. However, he has been blamed for halting the momentum of several young superstars since he joined AEW. Furthermore, the s*xual allegations made against him do not help his case. Despite this, the 53-year-old has made it clear that he is not retiring from professional wrestling anytime soon, despite fans demanding it.
Chris Jericho reveals getting a lot of heat backstage after insulting The Undertaker
Jericho left WCW in 1999 and made his debut in WWE by interrupting The Rock. A few days later, he would continue his streak of taking shots at top WWE talent by insulting The Undertaker. He interrupted the Deadman’s promo and called him boring in front of the live SmackDown crowd.
During a recent episode of Talk is Jericho, the former WWE Champion revealed that he got in trouble for this stint. He believed the Phenom delivered a boring ten-minute promo against The Big Show. The Fozzy member decided to call it as it is. He even claimed that the audience thought that the Demon of Death Valley was washed up.
I did a promo on Undertaker on Tuesday. Originally, it was supposed to be a promo on Austin, but I think Steve said, ‘Screw that. I’m not doing it.’ My idea at the time was I was just going to bury all the top stars and tell them how boring they are.Chris Jericho on Talk is Jericho
Shawn Michaels advised Y2J to refrain from calling one of the company’s top stars boring only on his second day. The Undertaker told the Lionheart that he had more shower time in the locker room than Jericho had spent in the ring. The 9x Intercontinental Champion dismissed this remark as he had spent nine years in the industry with 1500 matches by that point already.
