Apollo Crews is by far one of the most underrated superstars of the past decade. Many have even referred to him as this generation’s Shelton Benjamin. Although he has won a couple of mid-card titles here and there, he has never been utilized to his full potential. With him starting to appear on SmackDown once again, a fan movement has started in his favor once again.

The latest episode of SmackDown featured a six-man tag team match where The Bloodline, comprising Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa, and Tama Tonga, faced LA Knight, Apollo Crews, and Andrade. Not only did the 37-year-old’s team lose the match, but he was the one to take the pin after becoming the victim of a solo spike.

This feud began when Tonga and Fatu rushed the ring to ambush a segment between Andrade and Knight. The Megastar then became the victim of a Spike and got laid out in the center of the ring. The former United States Champion is clearly still upset about losing his title and is willing to go through the Samoans to regain his belt if he has to.

During a later episode, Knight took on Sikoa in a singles match, which ended in disqualification. After the match, The Bloodline continued to beat up the Megastar, who also became the victim of a Solo Spike. Andrade and Crews rushed out to make the save, but they were also laid out by the group. These interactions eventually led to the six-man tag match, which took place this week.

The wrestling world starts a fan movement for WWE to push Apollo Crews

The WWE Universe was highly impressed with Crews’ performance throughout the match. After all, they had seen him compete on SmackDown after a nearly 3-month absence. Not only was he an incredible cruiserweight, but he also displayed incredible feats of strength. At one point, he even military-pressed Tama Tonga above his shoulder.

A social media user even begged WWE to give Apollo Crews a solid push. Not only could he be a solid player on the mid-card, but he could one day even be a main-event talent if treated correctly. While he was already a highly entertaining performer already, he had significantly improved in the past few years as well.

Another netizen also pointed out that while Triple H brought him into WWE, Vince McMahon still utilized him better than Hunter did during his term as CCO. Still, it is nice to see Crews finally be back on TV. Fans hope that he will continue to be utilized on the main roster.
