The Ruthless Aggression era is fondly remembered by many wrestling fans who have been watching for decades. On an episode of Raw on June 24, 2002, Vince McMahon would go on to officially kickstart the Ruthless Aggression era. Just three days later, John Cena would make his main roster debut against Kurt Angle in what is considered to be one of the most iconic moments of not just that era but of WWE in general.

The American Hero recently created a parody of this iconic moment more than 22 years later, alongside his daughter. He cut the same promo that he cut all those years ago and challenged anyone in his house to come face him. The house’s garage door opened up as Cena’s entrance theme played in the background.

His daughter walked out of the house and introduced herself as Sophia Angle. In the same manner as in 2002, Angle asked his daughter what quality she possessed that would allow her to face the Wrestling Machine. She screamed “Ruthless Aggression” into the microphone and slapped her father.

These two superstars would go on to become great friends in real life and have tremendous respect for each other. Angle even demanded that Cena retire him at WrestleMania 35. Unfortunately, he did not get his wish and went out against Baron Corbin instead. After the Lone Wolf’s release, the Hall of Famer said that he did all that for nothing.

This video also acted as a nice full-circle moment for the 16x World Champion’s career, who kickstarts his retirement tour with his confirmed appearance on Raw’s premiere on Netflix. He is set to have a full-time schedule throughout the year, retiring at the end of 2025.

The WWE Universe loved seeing this throwback to one of the most iconic moments in wrestling history. Fans said that both Kurt Angle and his daughter did a fantastic job recreating this moment. Furthermore, the slight changes in dialogue made this parody hilarious and a treat to watch.

Netizens mentioned that Angle was still a freak of nature at the age of 56. In the video, he is seen standing shirtless with his incredible physique. He has lost a lot of muscle mass since stepping away from the ring. However, the former WrestleMania main eventer is still very lean and looked incredibly fit.

Social media users hope that they could see Angle interact with John Cena one final time during the latter’s retirement tour. It is highly unlikely that the former King of the Ring winner would return for a match. However, these two can still cook up a hilarious promo, which the fans would surely find very amusing.
