Jabeur attained a career best ranking of no.28 this week. It is a remarkable feat for the lady from Tunisia who had to overcome a lot of hurdles to get to this point. Cornet started well and took the first set 7-5, but then Jabeur came back into the match and won the next two sets 6-3 6-3 to complete a three set win.

She overcame Tsvetana Pironkova and Ludmilla Samsonova in the first and the second round, and then beat clay court specialist Lauren Davis in the third round.
