Elena Rybakina is the only player from Group Serena Williams yet to lose a match in the WTA Finals round robin stage. In her last group match, she will be up against Madison Keys.
The American is the only player in the group to have lost both the first two round robin matches. Apart from Rybakina and Keys, Iga Swiatek and Amanda Anisimova are part of this group.
Those who will end the round robin stage in the top two will lock horns with the top two players from Group Steffi Graf. Defending champion Coco Gauff, Aryna Sabalenka, Jasmine Paolini, and Jessica Pegula are from this group. Only Gauff (2024) and Swiatek (2023) have tasted success in the year-end championships. Sabalenka and Pegula were the runners-up in 2022 and 2023, respectively. Last year, Gauff defeated Qinwen Zheng in the final.

Elena Rybakina vs. Madison Keys: Match Preview
Earlier this season, Madison Keys took home two titles. After defeating Jessica Pegula in the Adelaide International, Keys continued her winning ways by ending the Australian Open in her favor by denying Aryna Sabalenka a three-peat, winning her career’s first Grand Slam title.

But since then, the 30-year-old has failed to taste success in the rest of the tournaments she has played so far, and also couldn’t reach a final. Before arriving in Riyadh, she played the US Open, skipping the entire Asian swing because of injury problems.
Elena Rybakina dealt with ups and downs earlier this season and ended her title drought only when the clay swing started. She defeated Liudmila Samsonova to clinch the Strasbourg Open. Following a few more disappointments, Rybakina started to regain her form and made multiple semifinals.
During the Asian swing, amidst the pressure to qualify for the WTA Finals, Rybakina ended the Ningbo Open in her favor by defeating Ekaterina Alexandrova. But the win was not enough to book a spot in the WTA Finals. She signed up for the Pan Pacific Open, where she needed only two match wins. The 26-year-old knocked out Leylah Fernandez and Victoria Mboko and later withdrew from the quarterfinal against Linda Noskova, citing fitness problems.
Elena Rybakina vs. Madison Keys: Match Prediction
En route to scheduling the clash with Keys, Rybakina breezed past Anisimova, and later came from a set down to defeat 2023 WTA Finals champion Swiatek. Keys, however, lost her previous two round robin matches she played against Swiatek and Anisimova.

Rybakina has made her third consecutive appearance at the WTA Finals. In the previous two seasons, the 2022 Wimbledon champion failed to progress beyond the round robin stages.
Keys made her WTA Finals debut in 2016 and came as an alternate player in 2022. It’s nothing but tough for Keys to progress to the semifinals for the first time.
Rybakina will enter the match as the favorite to win thanks to her two dominating performances. Against the World No.6, Rybakina holds a 3-3 head-to-head record.
They have met this year twice, with both winning a match each. Keys knocked her out in the fourth round of the Australian Open, following which, Rybakina took her revenge when she eliminated Keys in the fourth round of the Cincinnati Open.
Match prediction: Elena Rybakina to win in three sets.
