Bencic had a decent Australian Summer. She reached the third round of the Australian Open 2021, and then was the runners up at the Adelaide International 2021. In the Middle Eastern leg of the tour, that followed, she was less successful. She lost in the first round of the Qatar Open to Madison Keys.

In the just concluded Dubai Open, she was defeated in the second round by nineteen year old Russian Anastasia Potapova 6-1 2-6 5-7. Bencic had a bye in the first round of the event. Her opponent in the second round of the Miami Open is Zarina Diyas from Kazakhstan.
