Simona Halep the top seed

Simona Halep

The Romanian Simona Halep is all set to resume her run in the tour by playing at Prague. She will be competing as the top seed player. Also, looking at her previous form, she does have a high chance of claiming the title. She will be stepping on court with 29-year-old Polona Hercog.

Predictions

Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova

Barbora Krejcikova will have an easy first against Patricia Maria who holds the 85th rank. After that she will meet the World no.1 in the second round.

The first half of the draw also has Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova who will be a tough contender and will cruise to the Quarters and face Simona Halep. The other players who can have a meeting in the quarters could be Dayana Yastremska and Barbora Strycova. But the toughest player keeping in mind her recent performance at the Palermo Open will be French Fiona Ferro. she made it to the final of the Ladies Open.

However the lower draw seems studded with names like Eugine Bouchard, Petra Martic and Italian Camila Giorgi.

The lower draw has the World No.15, Petra Martic, who’s performance last week at Palermo was surprising as she went down straight sets against Annet Kantavait. The Italian Giorgi only lost at Palermo in the semi-final, that too after a tough three-set fight against Fiona Ferro.

Semi Final / Final Clashes

Simona Halep, Camila Giorgi

The most probable chances are to see Simona Halep turning out as the winner. But since she is playing her first tournament after a long break, there can be no certainty as to how the things will turn out. However, based on their latest performances the players Giorgi, Ferro and Martic will have an advantage over other players.

  • SEMI FINAL 1 : Halep vs Ferro
  • SEMI FINAL 2 : Giorgi Vs Martic
  • FINAL: Halep vs Giorgi
  • Winner: Simona Halep
