With WWE’s latest PPV, Fastlane, having gone in the history books, the complete focus is now on Wrestlemania. WWE’s biggest event of the year is just around the corner and the match cards have started to shape up.
This year, just like Wrestlemania 36, will be a two-night affair. WWE revealed the match cards for the two nights of Wrestlemania 37 on the latest episode of WWE Raw. So far, six matches have been officially confirmed.
Three of the matches announced will take place on night one:
- Bobby Lashley vs. Drew McIntyre (WWE Championship match)
- Sasha Banks vs. Biancs Belair (WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship match)
- The Miz vs. Bad Bunny
On the second night of Wrestlemania 37, three matches have been announced:
- Roman Reigns vs. Edge (WWE Universal Championship match)
- Asuka vs. Rhea Ripley (WWE Raw Women’s Championship match)
- The Fiend vs. Randy Orton
Orton and The Fiend’s match was not mentioned in the tweet, but it was confirmed in the final moments of Raw. Another match that was announced but not mentioned in the tweet was for the Raw Tag Team Championship. AJ Styles and Omos will be taking on the New Day.
Wrestlemania 37 will have limited fans in attendance
WWE decided to conduct Wrestlemania 37 over two nights, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The idea was to prevent as much of the talent from coming into contact with each other.
Last year a Wrestlemania record was set, as there were zero fans in attendance. But this year WWE has allowed a limited number of fans, while ensuring health and safety precautions. This year, around 45,000 fans will be in attendance on each night.
WWE Wrestlemania 37 airs live on 10th and 11th April, 2021.
