BREAKING: Jon Moxley receives WWE invite

Jon Moxley blasts Vince McMahon for poor WWE programming

It always had been a one-way journey with WWE superstars moving towards AEW. However, after the return of Cody Rhodes, the door of possibilities of AEW Superstars coming back to WWE has opened. And recently, a WWE Legend invited Jon Moxley to come hack to WWE. Jon Moxley aka Dean Ambrose announced his departure from WWE in January 2019 after refusing to sign a new contract.

The news was unusual for WWE, as it was the first time the promotion had issued an announcement about a WWE Superstar leaving the company. It looked like a storyline back then, but it wasn’t as Ambrose actually quit WWE and is now an active wrestler at AEW.

Sasha Banks joined NBC Sports Boston’s Ten Count podcast, where she discussed Cody Rhodes’ WWE comeback and named the AEW stars she wants to see follow in the footsteps of the American Nightmare. Banks was relieved to see Rhodes return, but she hoped to see Goldust return to the organisation as well. Sasha Banks also extended an open invitation to Jon Moxley (aka Dean Ambrose), who has not worked for WWE since his departure in 2019.

Here’s what she said: “It’s good to see the Rhodes back in WWE, you know. Next, let’s bring back Goldust,” said Sasha Banks. “Let’s bring them all back. Dean Ambrose, you want to come? Let’s go! The more, the merrier. Let’s do it!”

Why did Ambrose quit WWE?

One of the main reasons Jon Moxley left WWE was due to creative differences, with a source claiming that he did not enjoy the “hokey sh*t” that WWE was forcing him to do on WWE RAW. Another reason was that he was also against a Shield reunion, and was not there when Roman Reigns returned after his fight with leukaemia earlier in 2019. Seth Rollins previously admitted that he and Ambrose didn’t like The Lunatic Fringe going heel and that Ambrose was affected by the heel turn.

“The way that affected Ambrose, that wasn’t really his best look. No one wanted to see us fight each other, we had been through that, it didn’t feel good. I was upset, he was clearly upset and people didn’t want to see it, they wanted to see us be brothers and care about each other,” said Rollins to Yahoo Sports.

Whether or not Ambrose would return to WWE, is a tough question, but if he does, WWE Universe will undoubtedly love it.
