Carmelo Hayes defeats Isiah Swerve Scott to become the new NXT North American Champion

Carmelo Hayes is a one-time NXT North America Champion

Isiah ‘Swerve’ Scott was drafted to the main roster during the WWE Draft 2021 and the WWE Universe was expecting the NXT superstar to lose the NXT North American Championship very soon. The champion was expected to lose to Santos Escobar but instead, it was Carmelo Hayes who won the match.

During WWE NXT 2.0, Hayes cashed in his Breakout Tournament contract and delivered a huge leg drop to leave the show as the new NXT North American Championship. The former champion is a part of the group named HitRow which was drafted to Friday Night SmackDown during the WWE Draft 2021.

The WWE Universe was elated seeing Hayes holding the NXT North American Championship above his head while the show was going off in air. But Hayes was much more happy taking Scott out with some high persona moves. Hayes attacked Scott after the match which stopped him from getting up back on WWE TV.
