“My whole family sat front row”: Charlotte Flair reveals her favorite Wrestlemania moment

Smackdown Women's Champion

Charlotte Flair is one of the biggest names in the professional wrestling industry today. She has been with the company for a decade now and has managed to become the most successful woman in the history of the company, in terms of number of title reigns. Currently holding the Smackdown Women’s Championship, she is in her 13th reign as the World Champion.

Throughout her career, she has won innumerable matches and delivered some of the most iconic moments in the history of the company. There is no doubt that the company sees her as one of their biggest assets. After all, she will always hold the distinction of being a part of the first ever Wrestlemania women’s main event match.

It was a historic moment at Wrestlemania 35, when Charlotte Flair, Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch collided in a Winner Takes All Triple Threat match. Lynch had walked out as the Double Champion that night. Considering how enormous that match was one would believe that it was Flair’s favorite Wrestlemania moment – but that isn’t the case!

The WWE Digital team have been asking the Superstars about their favorite Wrestlemania moments. Surprisingly, Charlotte Flair’s moment doesn’t involve her primarily. She revealed that it was her father’s retirement match against Shawn Michaels, when her entire family sat in the front row.

“My favorite WrestleMania moment I think will always be when Shawn Michaels retired my dad. Not just because of the match; it was the last time my whole family sat front row together. Me, my little brother, my big sister, and my big brother, and it was the first time in, I guess, my entire life that I finally realized what my dad meant to the industry,” mentioned the Smackdown Women’s Champion.

Ric Flair is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. He holds the record, along with John Cena, for the most number of title reigns in the history of the company. They have held the Championship 16 times in their careers. Among the women, the record is held by Ric’s daughter Charlotte Flair and the comparisons between them is inevitable.

In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, the Smackdown Women’s Champion mentioned, “I don’t feel the pressure anymore because one day people are going to realize there will never ever be a family due like Ric Flair and Charlotte Flair. Never. We will need our own wing in the Hall of Fame.”
