“Where I learned to be evil?”: Charlotte Flair reveals the inspiration behind her character
Flair
Charlotte Flair is one of the biggest Superstars on the WWE roster currently. She has been with the company for a decade now – and has managed to become the most successful woman in the history of the company – in terms of number of the World Championship reigns. She currently holds the Smackdown Women’s Championship – which is her 13th reign as a WWE World Champion.
Throughout her career The Queen has held the Smackdown as well as the Raw title six times each and the Divas Championship once. Even among her male counterparts, there are only a handful of Superstars who’ve held more title. In fact, out of them, Randy Orton is the only one who is still a full-time performer.
Interestingly, Charlotte Flair is one of the very few Superstars who have been Heels for a major part of their careers. In fact, she is one of the Superstars whom the WWE Universe loves to hate. Often, the hate for her character, is directed towards the Superstar!
There is no doubt that she plays her on-screen character with utmost honesty and integrity. In a recent video shared on her Twitter, to promote an episode of WWE Evil – Charlotte Flair reveals which Superstar has influenced the way in which she portrays her Heel character.
“You want to know where I learned to be evil? From my dad,” mentioned the Smackdown Women’s Champion. Interestingly, her father, Ric Flair, holds the record for the most number of World Championship reigns in the history of the company – with 16 reigns.
Charlotte Flair will face Ronda Rousey at Wrestlemania Backlash
In the co-main event of Wrestlemania Saturday, this year, Charlotte Flair managed to retain the Smackdown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey. But the match had quite a controversial finish, with referee failing to see Flair tapping out. This has set up an intense Round 2 for this feud.
At Wrestlemania Backlash, The Baddest Woman on the Planet is once again coming after The Queen for the Smackdown Women’s title. But this time, an even more brutal encounter is on the cards. At Wrestlemania Backlash, Rousey and Flair will be colliding in an I Quit match.
